Jim Oliver.
I have lived in Donnington for ten years.
I graduated from Loughborough in the 1960s and taught PE for seven years, three of which were in British Columbia. I then spent 16 years in the tobacco industry in a variety of roles followed by ten years as a management development manager and human resources manager in the banking industry. Finally, I ran my own management development consultancy until my retirement in 2006.
I am married to Catherine and have three sons living in West Sussex – only one of whom is in the Parish of Donnington. As I have four grandchildren, I am keen on ensuring that the environment is safe and pleasant to live in.
My other interests include walking (a member of the South Downs Society); I am a co-ordinator for Neighbourhood Watch in Graydon Avenue; I do some part time work at Chichester College; and I am involved in a charity event to raise money for Sussex hospices.
