Neighbourhood Watch.
We are fortunate in Donnington, in having little crime, but this may be in part because we have a very active Neighbourhood Watch, with some 34 street coordinators covering most of Donnington. The coordinators have an annual meeting that is usually combined with a Police Surgery. This is held in Donnington Parish Hall. Advance information can be seen on the Parish notice boards both on the Stockbridge Gardens board on the bus shelter and beside the newsagents in Stockbridge Road . The information is kept up to date on the Parish web site too.
You can contact the Police by the following methods;
Crime taking place, or you think it is about to ……..999
Non-urgent help, information or complaint and reporting a crime………………..0845 60 70 999
You can also dial direct to the Selsey Office on 01243 605518, or to the front desk at Selsey on 01243 604205.
Crime Stoppers …………. 0800 555 111
It is very important that ALL crimes are reported to the Police, to enable the Police to build up a picture of crime pattern, possibly resulting in more Police presence in Donnington.
When reporting a crime, please make sure to ask for a serial number. This will enable you to request further information regarding the incident in the future and will be needed if you subsequently make a claim from your insurers.
For those who are interested, I have copies of the Chichester Careline service and details of the Chichester Community Transport service.
