Materials Resource Management Strategy (2005 -2035) Public Consultation
A projection of rubbish produced from West Sussex is estimated at 600,000 tonnes by 2030. Landfill is no longer considered acceptable and County will face stiff penalties if it continues to reply on landfill to meet its waste obligations.
Therefore a new framework is needed for dealing with waste in the future. To this end
a new public consultation exercise from WSCC concerning a draft Materials Resource Management Strategy and Strategic Environmental Assessment is taking place. Self-completion forms are available at libraries, Help Points and council offices.
